St. Martin's 13th Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Fry

This was the 13th Annual Turkey Fry to benefit the work of Emmaus House. Started in 2005 through the efforts of Tim Peak and Rick Cobb. men of the parish gathered on the Wednesday  before Thanksgiving to deep fry turkeys purchased by of members 0f the St. Martins community that will feed family and friends gathering around their dining room table on Thanksgiving Day.

The money raised  from the Thanksgiving Turkey Fry will benefit the 
Emmaus House programs.

The boy scouts from St. Martin's played in big part of preparation and the cooking of the record number 120 turkey's  purchased this year. (see photo below) 




This year as in years past, St. Martin's donated 13 turkeys to Interfaith Outeach Home (IOH) that will feed the 13 "hardworking, homeless families that live in their safe, affordable apartments".
